I modified a plan from Knock-Of Wood to create this TV Storage unit. It's 2 bookshelves with a top and the face joining the shelves. There is plenty of room underneath for storing those items that aren't used very often. I put furniture sliders under it so it moves rather easily.

How To Make a Pillowcase
How To Make a Pillowcase
You might want to use the child's favorite characters or something to match their room. I used white because I wanted to applique their names on the case. I used a print for the edge that will match a quilt that I am making for Christmas. I cut out a large rectangle (22 x 54) and fold it in half so that I only have 2 side seams. I use a serger for the seams so that I don't have so much fraying. You can cut this out with pinking shears to limit the frayed edges.
Now fold the piece in half along the ironed edge. With right sides together pin the edge to the case and sew or serge them together.
And there you have a pillowcase.
